Terms of service
Last changed 16 September 2026.
Written to be read, not skipped. Using GuardCue means agreeing to these; if anything here is unclear, email us before you rely on it.
1. What GuardCue is
An automated check of a website and, if you connect one, its code, that reports security and quality problems in plain English and, on paid plans, gives you the words to fix them. It is a tool, not a guarantee. A clean report means our checks found nothing, not that nothing is there, and the report says which checks could not run.
2. What you may check
Sites you own, or have the owner’s permission to check. A free check reads only what any visitor could read, but you still may not point it at a site you have no right to look into. The deeper checks require you to prove the site is yours first. If we find you checking sites that are not yours, we close the account.
3. Your account
You sign in with a link we email you; there is no password to protect, but the email account that receives the link is yours to protect. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account; a team shares a site, not a login.
4. Paying
Prices are shown before you pay and charged by Stripe. A monthly plan renews until you cancel it from your billing page, and cancelling stops the next charge. The Launch Check is a one-time payment that does not renew. Refunds are described on the refunds page, which is part of these terms. If we change a price, it applies from your next renewal and we email you first.
5. What we promise, and what we do not
We promise to run the checks we describe, to report only what a check actually observed, to say when a check could not run, and to keep nothing from your site beyond what the privacy page describes.
We do not promise that your site is secure, that every problem will be found, or that a fix we suggest will work in your particular app. You decide what to change on your site, and you are responsible for the result. If you paste our words into a tool and the tool does something you did not want, that is between you and the tool; check what it changed before you publish it.
6. What we are liable for
If we get something wrong, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the problem, and we are not liable for lost profit, lost data or other indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
7. Your data and your customers’ data
What we collect and keep is on the privacy page. For data belonging to your customers that a check encounters, the data processing terms apply and are part of this agreement.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use GuardCue to attack anyone, to overload a site, to check sites you are not entitled to check, or to resell the checks as your own without an Agency plan. Do not try to get around the limits of your plan. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why.
9. Ending it
You can close your account at any time by email, and everything we hold for you is deleted as the privacy page describes. We can close your account if you break these terms, or with thirty days’ notice if we stop offering the service, in which case we refund any period you paid for and did not get.
10. Changes to these terms
If they change in a way that matters, we email account holders at least fourteen days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the change.
11. Who you are agreeing with
HexSpire, HexSpire, Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan. These terms are governed by the law of Pakistan, and its courts decide any dispute. Questions to support@guardcue.com.
