Who is behind GuardCue
One person who builds apps for founders, and kept seeing the same expensive mistakes in apps nobody had checked.
Why it exists
I build apps for founders for a living. More and more of the apps that reach me now were made with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor or Claude Code, often by somebody who does not write code and should not have to. They work, they look finished, and many of them carry a mistake the person who made them cannot see: a customer list anyone can read, a payment key in the code every visitor downloads, a paid service with nothing stopping a stranger running up the bill.
The tools that find these problems are written for security engineers. GuardCue is written for the person who built the app: what is wrong, what it could cost you, and the exact words to paste into the tool you built it with to fix it.
Who I am
I am Zohaib Umar Yousaf. I run Hexspire, a small studio in Pakistan that builds mobile apps, web platforms and SaaS products for founders and businesses in the US, Australia, Europe and the Middle East, with engineering experience from inside Bayt.com, the Middle East's largest job platform. The founders I build for tend to say they stopped thinking of me as an outside agency and started treating me as part of their own team. I would like GuardCue to feel the same way: the person on your side who reads the parts of your app you cannot.
How GuardCue behaves
- We only read what any visitor to your site can already see, unless you connect something deeper and say so.
- We never keep your customers' data. A report holds a count, a list of what kind of information is there, and one example with almost everything blanked.
- We run it on our own sites, Hexspire's included, before we ask you to run it on yours.
- When we could not check something, the report says so. It never counts as a pass.
